Reginald Lee Blackwell of 324 Whithead Avenue, Spencer, North Carolina, died on February 9, 1989 at the North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  He had been ill for two months and hospitalized for one month.   He was employed by Hoechst Celanese.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Salisbury.  He was survived by his parents, Murray and Daisey Blackwell, his wife, Nancy Plyler Blackwell, a son, Brian Lee Blackwell, and a sister, Kathy Blackwell Summers.
